I was at a very well attended No Kings protest in Orlando and every one of these seven points rings true.

Awesome.

I went to the No Kings protest in Urbana, IL, which is not the biggest town, but had a large turnout. The article is partially based on my experience, and on those I've heard from. I'm glad to hear that it resonated with you.

Good summary. These are all good outcomes, but until the holders of power in congress, the media, business, etc. respond to these demonstrations they are not making enough difference. They are a necessary but not sufficient condition for change. They are the first phase in a series of more intensive actions to unseat Trump and all his lackeys. More dramatic acts are on the horizon.

Necessary but not sufficient, yes. A step.

We must continue to show up to protest this regime. Nov 5 in DC marks the one year anniversary of the election and everyone who can make it there should join. RefuseFascism.org.

The march I attended drew a big crowd but was an opportunity lost. It wound up in a park. We should have been greeted with a big reward---great music and rousing oratory. Unfortunately, we got weak acoustics and poor speakers voicing parochial interests. Psychological reward is important if these demonstrations are to continue and grow.

This was true here in June as well. This time, they raised some money and rented a good sound system and invited a musician as well as speakers (some great, some confusing). We learn.
